The personnel carousel is spinning at TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt, too. As the club announced on their website on Monday, English national Paul Drinkhall will reinforce the team next season. After playing for many clubs all around Europe, Drinkhall is currently playing for PKS Kolping Frac Jaroslaw in Poland. He now signed a one year contract at Bergneustadt.

In Germany the 2012 and 2016 Olympian has already been playing for Gönnern, Jülich and Plüderhausen und was under contract at SV Werder Bremen in the Tischtennis Bundesliga (TTBL) from 2012 to 2014. One of his biggest achievements was winning the bronze medal at the World Team Championships with England in 2016. Alongside Timo Boll and Dimitrij Ovtcharov, the world's number 35 was also part of the inaugural season of T2 APAC last year.

Additionally, Yang Lei joins the team of Schwalbe as player-manager next season. The 40-year-old native Chinese is currently playing for SV Brackwede in the 3. Bundesliga and working as a coach for the Deutsches Tischtennis-Zentrum in Düsseldorf. Beside Drinkhall, Yang will be the coach of at least Benedikt Duda and Alvaro Robles, who both extended their contracts for two more years. If Steffen Mengel and Kamal Achanta stay in Bergneustadt, remains uncertain for the time being. Negotiations are still running, TTC manager Heinz Duda states.
