The German table tennis championships have determined the first German champion in a sport league during the Covid-19 pandemic. For the first time in the club’s history 1. FC Saarbrücken TT succeeded in the Liebherr TTBL final on Sunday. The team competed against TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen which reflected a revival of last year’s final, only this time 1. FC Saarbrücken TT showed their superiority with a 3-1 win.

Ochsenhausen and Saarbrücken enter the Liebherr TTBL final

The line-up for the Liebherr TTBL final is complete: On Sunday, 2 pm (CEST), we will enjoy the encounter between TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen and 1. FC Saarbrücken TT in the league's final showdown. Ochsenhausen has previously defeated Borussia Düsseldorf with 3-2 while Saarbrücken succeeded 3-0 against SV Werder Bremen.

1. FC Saarbrücken TT among Patrick Franziska has made it to the top of the league in the main round and is now fighting for the title in the TTBL. In their pursuit, the team will first encounter SV Werder Bremen on Wednesday, June 10 (1 pm CEST, live on Eurosport or streaming on Sportdeutschland.TV). In case of success Saarbrücken will enter the Liebherr TTBL final on Sunday, June 14 at 2 pm CEST.
