Saarbrücken and Bergneustadt still on course

The play-off candidates have further crystallized on matchday 19 of the Tischtennis Bundesliga (TTBL). TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt (3-2 at Bad Königshofen) and 1. FC Saarbrücken TT (3-1 against Grenzau) underpinned their ambitions. TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell celebrated the seventh victory in a row against bottom-placed Jülich and at least theoretically remain in the play-off race, while the Post SV Mühlhausen (1-3 in Grünwettersbach) suffered the next setback.

TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen remain undefeated at home and just like in the cup final beat SV Werder Bremen 3-1. For Calderano and Co. the play-offs are in close reach now.

In an earlier duel of matchday 20 on Saturday evening, SV Werder Bremen are a guest of TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen and want to take revenge in a re-match of the cup final. On Sunday, the four matches of matchday 19 are all about the approaching play-offs as more than four teams are still hoping to make it – for example Post SV Mühlhausen and TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell.

Post SV Mühlhausen lose the fight for play-offs against TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell. To the delight of 1. FC Saarbrücken TT and TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt winning their own matches. TTC indeland Jülich narrowly missed the first victory of the season.

TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen can reclaim the top position in the table with a win agianst Grenzau, while on the other end of the table TTC indeland Jülich host TSV Bad Königshofen, aiming for the first points of the season.
