Czech national Tomas Polansky gets promoted and moves from the second up to the first squad of 1. FC Saarbrücken TT next season. This was announced by the club on Tuesday afternoon. In the current season, the 19-year-old has aleady won two matches in the Tischtennis Bundesliga (TTBL).
Young player Tomas Polansky, currently playing in the second division team of 1. FC Saarbrücken TT, will be playing in the Tischtennis Bundesliga (TTBL) regularly in the upcoming season. As the Saarlanders announced, the 19-year-old Czech national will reinforce the first squad of this year's cup runner-up.
"We would like to build on Tomas," says Erwin Berg, manager of FCSTT. "He is a big talent and has a great personality. In our club, we would like to build on young European talents and acquaint them with the TTBL through the second division. He is the best example that our concept is being successful." A few weeks ago Saarbrücken already announced the signing of Darko Jorgic (19), who is currently causing a sensation with TSV Bad Königshofen.
"After two good years in the sesond squad, I am looking forward to competing against European top players such as Gauzy, Karlsson or Boll and to becoming even better through these experiences," Polansky points out. Beside him and Jorgic, Patrick Franziska will also be part of the new team of coach Slobodan Grujic. The 25-year-old German national extended his contract for another three years at the beginning of January. The negotiations with Tiago Apolonia and Bojan Tokic are still running, Patrick Baum will leave the club at the end of the season.
